Andrés González (born in 1977) studied classical guitar with Guillermo Nur at the Catholic University of Valparaiso. He has performed in Chile and Europe as a soloist and as a member of several ensembles. His works have been performed in Chile, Argentina, Germany, Spain and France, and recorded by SVR, Netlabel Pueblo Nuevo, Sello Modular and independent productions. In 2009, he received an award from the Regional Council for Culture and the Arts for his contribution to chamber music with the Consort Guitarrístico de Chile. Among his works for guitar: Nitsuga o la Elocuencia de un dialogo imposible (2001), or Aion for guitar consort and instrumental ensemble (2013). He is the founder and director of the Estudio Modular de Música Actual (EMMA) and artistic director of the Ensamble F®actura. Since 2015, he has been a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaiso. In 2022, he released his solo CD Guitarra+, dedicated to Chilean composers.
