Director of studies at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (E.H.E.S.S.), Stéphane Audoin-Rouzeau is also vice-president of the Research Centre of the Historial de la Grande Guerre (Péronne, Somme). His main field of specialisation is the history of the Great War from a cultural perspective.
His work currently focuses on the historical anthropology of the war phenomenon in the 19th and 20th centuries, in particular on the violence of war and the violence of combat.
