Nicole Wild (1929-2017)

Nicole Wild had a degree in organ, music history and musicology and held a doctorate from the University of Paris-IV Sorbonne with a thesis on the Parisian theatres in the face of power (1807-1864).
A specialist in French lyrical theatre and musical iconography in the 19th century, Nicole Wild was chief curator at the Bibliothèque-Musée de l’Opéra and published numerous articles and books.
